Projects

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time finding accessories - you know those little things you just want to place here or there to add a little pop .  Then sometimes when I find the accessories that I'm looking for, they cost more money than I want to spend..... 

                               ......So, I decided, we're going to do a little Arts and Crafts and make our own....


I enlisted my Sidekick and Off we went to the Craft Store.....

We came home with this....

First Project....The Kitchen Window....  

We are going to paint the trim to match the kitchen cabinets, but for now it needs a little accessory....

We bought 3 little bottles, added a little sand in the bottom, tied jute ribbon around the neck of the bottle and inserted lavender and Ta-Daa... This is our completed little craft....

        

 

For $8.00 we were able to dress up our window sill...

Next Project....Easter Brunch Place Card Holders...

                                              ....We really wanted one of these two options from PotteryBarn....

OR

PotteryBarn - 29.99 for a Set of Two

We could never afford the ones above from PotteryBarn.....So, it was time to Make Our Own......

                                                     ....At the Craft Store we found little Flower Pots, Chalkboard Signs, Chalkboard Pens and Moss.....

We wrote the family names on the Chalkboard Signs and Rickus cut them down to size for me...

We add Moss to the Little Flower Pots....

Then placed the Sign in the Flower Pot and for $1.69 each we made our own Place Card Holders....

We are Ready for Our Family Easter Brunch....

 

Next Project...The Powder Room...

We added a little Spring to the Sink with our Bottled Flowers.....

Rickus and I had so much fun spending Quality Time and Accessorizing on a Dime.  Please come back soon  we have a lot more projects to share.
