Craft Room Reveal

Hello Friends and Family Welcome to the "Craft Room - Girl Cave" Ribbon Cutting Ceremony....

Many of You Know...This room used to be My Bubba's Study where he spent Hundreds of Hours working to become a Teacher.  Last Fall he moved to Salem, Indiana where he is known as Mr. Alexander aka Mr. A at Salem High School.

Toddy Moved Out.... Mudder Moved In....

Hubby teases me that I barely let the room get cold before I started filling it up.  He mocks me in his Girl Voice, "Bubba I'm going to miss you so much and don't know what I'm going to do without you - Hello PotteryBarn, I need a craft table".  I really do miss my Bubba being at home....

Hubby and I started by Giving the Room a Fresh Coat of Paint....

I have always wanted a little space of my own where I could Design, Craft, Wrap Presents and Scrapbook....

I knew I needed a Work Table that was Big and Sturdy yet Stylish - These will do the Trick and were on Sale at PotteryBarn - WooHoo!  Also needed Two Chairs for when I Enlist Hubby to Project With Me (He's Thrilled).  And pulled the grouping together with the Orange/Cream Rug (Don't I sound like a Designer-Want-To-Be).

I then needed a place to store all of my Craft Supplies - These Bookcases from Target and Baskets from Kirklands fit the Bill....

I spent lots of time Shopping for Fun Crafty Accessories....

Look at this Awesome Ceramic Paint Can I found for $6.00....Best Find of the Room :)

And These Little Treasures...

Here is a cozy place for Rick and Bubba to sit when they come visit me...

Padre Made me a Reclaimed Wood Craft Box....I added some jars, crafty supplies and moss....

Padre also made me this Wooden Urn and I added some Colorful Wrapping Paper....

Then My Sidekick Rick and I added some Craft Room Wall Art....

.....I found this Really Cool 6-Foot Ruler at Kirklands....(Don't You Love Hubby's Tool-Belt, Bare Feet and Pencil Behind the Ear).

Searched and Found Giant Scissors on Ebay....They were Discontinued from PotteryBarn...

and Buttons from Hobby Lobby and Added some Orange Thread....

Which Made this Little Wall Vignette.....

Added a Chalkboard to Remind me of Mr. A who always had a Board Hanging in his Room....

Personalized My Space with a Wooden "M" for Melissa or Morehouse that I purchased from Etsy and Attached it to a Framed Burlap Bulletin Board...

Our Final Purchase was a New Light Fixture....We went Shopping at Berchers Lighting, which was a little overwhelming because of their Hundreds of Choices....

Brechers Lighting - Show Room

I Found It!!  It was off in the Corner By Itself and was Perfect!  A Drum Shade like I wanted, Semi-Flush Mount, Exact Scale that I needed, Two-Toned Basket Weave Fabric with Colors that Matched the Paint and the Drapes/Chairs.... And BONUS - It was No Longer in Stock, so they Sold us the Floor Model for Less...Here It Is...

"Today Rick Does Lighting".... He was having a little talk with the Light Fixture, which was not cooperating....

He Got It...

The Room is Done - Let the Crafting Begin....
